1. Accepting these terms
These Terms of Use apply to forondalaw.com and to the tools we operate at this domain. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. This site is not legal advice
Everything on this website is general information. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for talking with an attorney about your own situation. Immigration law and federal law change often, and small differences in facts can change the answer completely. Do not act, or decide not to act, based only on what you read here.
3. No attorney-client relationship
Reading this site, sending us a form, or emailing us does not make you our client. An attorney-client relationship starts only when we have both signed a written agreement and we have confirmed we can represent you.
Because of that, please do not send us confidential or time-sensitive information through the website. Information you send before we agree to represent you may not be protected as confidential, and we may already represent someone with interests opposed to yours.
4. Attorney advertising
This website may be considered attorney advertising under the rules of professional conduct that apply to us. Any description of past cases or results is not a promise or guarantee about your case. Every case is different, and past results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
Client reviews shown on this site are the words of the people who wrote them, shared with their permission. They describe those clients' own experiences.
5. Using this website
You may read this site, print pages for your own use, and share links to it. Please do not:
- Use the site for anything unlawful
- Try to break into, disrupt, or overload the site or our systems
- Copy the site's content to republish it as your own
- Collect information from the site using automated tools without our written permission
- Impersonate someone else when contacting us
6. Firm tools and the Case Status Monitor
Some tools connected to this domain, including the Case Status Monitor, are internal systems for authorized Foronda Law personnel only. They are not open for public account creation. If you are an authorized user, you agree to use them only for firm business, to protect your login credentials, and to stop using them when you are no longer authorized.
Authorized users must accept the current Privacy Policy and these Terms of Use before continuing to use internal tools after a material update.
7. Our content and your content
The text, design, logos, mascot characters, and other materials on this site belong to Foronda Law, APC or to the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. The Foronda Law name, the ship's wheel mark, and Guiding You Forward are marks of the firm.
If you send us a message through the site, you keep ownership of what you wrote. You give us permission to read it, store it, and use it to respond to you and to evaluate whether we can help.
8. Links to other websites
This site links to other places, including government websites, our social media, and our related brands. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
One warning worth repeating: official government forms are always free to download from the agency. Never pay a website just for a blank form.
9. Accuracy and availability
We work to keep this site accurate and current, but we do not promise that it is free of errors or that it is up to date at any given moment. We also do not promise that the site will always be available. We may change, pause, or remove any part of it at any time.
10. Limits on our liability
This website is provided on an as-is basis. To the fullest extent the law allows, Foronda Law, APC is not liable for any loss or damage that results from using this website or relying on its general information, including indirect or consequential damages. Some places do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibilities to our clients under our engagement agreements or under the rules of professional conduct.
11. Privacy
How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about this website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
Foronda Law, APC is a California professional corporation. Attorney licensing information and jurisdictional limitations are available in each attorney's biography. We do not offer legal services in places where we are not authorized to practice.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will notify the people it affects, and authorized users of our internal tools must actively accept the update before continuing to use those tools.
